SUI­CIDE PREVEN­TION

A free sui­cide preven­tion work­shop will be run by Wes­ley LifeForce at Joon­dalup Re­cep­tion Cen­tre this Wednes­day. The pro­gram has been de­signed to help par­tic­i­pants recog­nise when a per­son may be hav­ing thoughts of sui­cide and pro­vides a sim­ple strat­egy to in­ter­vene and as­sist them. The Dun­craig Chris­tian Com­mu­nity Church is hold­ing a Kids Hol­i­day Club from July 9 to 13 fea­tur­ing games, sto­ries, crafts, singing, pup­pets and cir­cus ac­tiv­i­ties. The event for kids from kin­der­garten to Year 6 will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm, cul­mi­nat­ing in a fi­nale for fam­i­lies and friends from 4.30-5.30pm on the Fri­day.
