Free self-defence for kids
ATI Martial Arts will be holding free self-defence classes to boost child safety this week.
The academy is running classes at all its branches, including Malaga, Hamersley, Scarborough, Trigg, Ellenbrook, Midland, Forrestfield, Joondalup and Claremont, until July 7.
Director Tony Curtis said the classes were inspired by a recent social experiment which highlighted the need for “stranger danger” education.
“We do not think it is taught enough in schools,” he said.
“We are a regular part of children’s lives and as role models and martial arts coaches we have a big impact and can be very effective in educating kids in this area.”
