Threats made in liquor raid
POLICE want the public’s help to catch a booze and cigarettes thief.
The man stole two premixed alcohol packs and cigarettes from a Joondalup liquor store in Candlewood Boulevard on October 7 about 4pm.
Police say he put the alcohol on the counter before asking for a packet of Winfield Blues.
A staff member placed the cigarettes with the alcohol inside a cardboard box before the man went to leave with it.
“The store employee locked the doors remotely and the man made verbal threats towards the employee,” police said.
He was later able to leave the store with the box and its contents without paying.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they say can help their investigation.
He is described as 35 to 40 years old, unshaven, with short dark hair and a medium build, wearing a dark-coloured Everlast hooded top, blue jeans and white runners. If you can help, call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Police would like to talk to the man pictured above.
