AUS­TRALIAN jour­nal­ist, tele­vi­sion pre­sen­ter and au­thor Peter FitzSi­mons will be in Joon­dalup this month to dis­cuss his new book. Mutiny on the Bounty

tells the dra­matic story of Cap­tain Wil­liam Bligh, Fletcher Chris­tian and the fa­mous mutiny on HMS

Bounty in the South Pa­cific on April 28, 1789.

FitzSi­mons (pic­tured) will bring the tale of hu­man drama, in­trigue and ad­ven­ture to life when he speaks at the West Perth Foot­ball Club func­tion cen­tre on Novem­ber 27.

SCHOOL FETE Ocean Reef Pri­mary School is hold­ing a fete to cel­e­brate its 30 year an­niver­sary on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24, from 11am to 4pm. There will be a rope climb­ing course, bouncy cas­tle, old fash­ioned games, a train ride, stalls and food vans at the Kauf­man Av­enue school. En­ter­tain­ment in­cludes a dance troupe, mar­tial arts, face painter and a band. SUM­MER FIRE­WORKS Sor­rento Quay Board­walk in Hil­larys will hold its an­nual Launch of Sum­mer Fire­works on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24. There will be live en­ter­tain­ment from 6pm, with fire­works set to start about 8pm. WAN­NEROO SHOW The Wan­neroo Show will run from 4pm to 10pm on Fri­day, Novem­ber 23, and from 9am to 10pm on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24, at Wan­neroo Show­ground. There will be fire­works both nights, en­ter­tain­ment on the main stage, horse com­pe­ti­tions, sideshow al­ley and show books will be avail­able to buy and have signed on the night. Cost is $6.
