Making light work of it

Wanneroo Times - - News - Tyler Brown

WOODVALE residents John and Sheila Ramsbottom have invited the community to join them for the launch of their Christmas lights display.

The popular festive experience at 119 Chichester Drive, which includes a walk-through exhibition for children in the patio and garage, will switch on about 7pm this Friday.

To celebrate, the couple will hold a free sausage sizzle open to the community.

This year they will be raising money for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Visitors may also notice a new tree and inflatables and the Wise Men will also be sporting some new clothes.

Mrs Ramsbottom said this would also be the first year they would be part of the Synergy Christmas Lights Trail.

“When we first did the lights, we did it for the enjoyment of people coming. Then with people power, we started collecting donations,” she said.

“So now we thought we might as well go on the trail because you never know, the more people that know about us, the more fun it will be all round.”
