Student faces fire charges
A STUDENT has been charged with lighting a fire in bushland outside his school.
Senior Sergeant Brendan Moore said about 1pm on September 27, police were alerted to a fire in the bush surrounding Warwick Senior High School on Erindale Road.
He said the Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the fire, which was about 50m-100m from the school.
Police attended the school to make inquiries, which led to a 14-year-old boy being charged.
He will appear before a juvenile justice team.
