Valentine’s Concert 2019
The City’s 2019 Valentine’s Concert act is All You Need is Love, featuring Jack Jones, Wes Carr, Rai Thistlethwayte and Jackson Thomas with the Perth Symphony Orchestra. Never seen before in Perth, All You Need is Love will bring the music of The Beatles to the Joondalup Resort on Thursday 14 February 2019. Given the significant costs associated with large scale, modern concert productions – and to ensure the event can continue to deliver outstanding musical acts – the City has introduced a fee for tickets to its 2019 Valentine’s Concert, one of the northern corridor’s biggest music events. Joondalup residents will get first opportunity to purchase tickets to this WA premiere from 5 to 19 November. Thereafter, tickets will be made available to people outside the City for the first time. Ticket prices are $25.00 for residents, $20.00 for residents with a valid concession card, $10.00 for children and $35.00 for non-residents. The City continues to subsidise the Valentine’s Concert performance with a recent run of All You Need Is Love at other venues in Sydney and Melbourne selling from $89.00 per ticket. Tickets will be available online through Ticketbooth. Visit joondalup.wa.gov.au for further information.
It all starts tonight. Kaleidoscope is back for another four nights of world-class illumination projections, art, lighting displays and performances. Tens of thousands of people are expected to visit the Joondalup City Centre for the third incarnation of WA’s largest light and illumination festival, which has been embraced by people across Perth and beyond. More than 80,000 people attended Kaleidoscope last year and this year’s program features 89 dynamic artists from WA, interstate and overseas. Highlights will include Armistice Park, Intrude, Neon Dog Park and Joyeux Noel. Kaleidoscope is an important part of the City’s cultural events calendar and plays a role in driving positive economic outcomes for the local business economy, creating vibrancy in the City Centre and providing outstanding entertainment for residents and visitors alike. The service will be followed by a free community sausage sizzle.
