The awards, announced on November 26, recognised excellence in science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem) leadership.

After being a runnerup in 2017, Warwick SHS won the $2000 leadership excellence award this year for demonstrating a high commitment to “Stem for all”, with clear integration of this philosophy and Stem skills into the classroom and as a focus for delivering the curriculum.

Winning schools and runners-up will receive an invitation to visit Government House, as well as a visit to Scitech for 90 students.

The Governor’s School Stem Awards are delivered through Scitech with the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
