Previously, the club had participated in "Pakwag", an inter club competition between Pakenham and Warragul Camera clubs, Pakenham out marking Warragul by several points.

On October 18 the club had a demonstration day in the club meeting place, Campion School Supplies, Drouin, where 30 members from Sale, Warragul, Preston, Bairnsdale, Foster and Coal Creek, were given lectures on taking portraits by Louise Sedgeman and Paul Robinson, using different lighting and poses by two local models.

During the lunch break, Linda Zwierlein, WCC, showed an interesting audio visual of her recent trip to Iceland, and its remote areas of natural beauty.

Marg Tylee, WCC, followed this with a photo illustration of macro photography, how the shots were taken, and a show of insects and flowers found in her garden.

After lunch, Darryl Whittacker and Eric de Kieffer led a workshop on Lightroom, until the roar of motor bike engines and a restored Oldsmobile car were heard arriving, and photos of models on bikes and car were taken.

The afternoon concluded with more information on Lightroom and afternoon tea.

WCC is indebted to the models, demonstrators and vehicle owners for giving up their Sunday.

The next monthly meeting will be Monday November 2 at 8pm, when results of the annual landscape competition will be shown, and the best of the year's entries entered for judging.

The outing for November will be Sunday 22nd to Healsville Sanctuary. New members will benefit from help by experienced club members. For further information contact 0419 525 124, or visit the club website.
