Another bad idea

- Keith Salmon Yarragon

I am amazed and appalled at yet another ill conceived Baw Baw council decision.

Reading your article (Gaz 20/10) about the historic railway shed. I am yet again stunned by the ineptitude of our councillors.

Only last month their stupid idea to plant trees on the road surface in Queen Street was shot down by concerned stakeholders, along comes another one. moving the historic railway shed, yet again. The councillors must feel that ratepayers have a never ending money pit to pay for their moronic decisions.

How about we go about it logically (oh dear, logic, common sense and council, this is a bit of an oxymoron isn’t it.)

Maybe council could solve the problem by attempting to get the ill conceived heritage listing repealed and then get the ugly building removed or bulldozed and paid for by Vic Track. (the owners)

If not, here's a novel idea. If the Noojee heritage group want the shed, then pay to have it removed. See how much they want it then.

How dare the councillors mismanage ratepayers money yet again.

How about the council do something constructive and just go about important progressive things like making the court ordered destruction of the old Bonlac factory happen so that we can get a decent and invigorated shopping precinct underway at last.
