Bdlegal has moved to new premisies
In the nine years since bdlegal commenced providing legal services in Warragul, the firm has grown and expanded to provide legal services in its areas of expertise, covering property law, business related transactions, general and complex conveyancing, wills, estates and trust law and all forms of commercial dispute work, including commercial debt recovery.
As a result of the growth of bdlegal, the firm has now moved to new premises at 80 Albert Street Warragul so that they can continue to grow as Warragul and the shire grows.
Since opening his legal practice in January 2006, Richard Bridge’s primary focus has been on providing prompt and accurate legal advice to clients that is commercially effective and legally sound.
Growing from small beginnings Richard soon started employing staff to assist him with an expanding conveyancing practice as well as the wills and estate work.
In 2007, Chris Drenen joined the firm as a partner, starting up bdlegal’s Melbourne office to service bdlegal’s Melbourne and national clientele and deal with the commercial dispute work that the firm handles for some of Australia’s largest institutional listed companies under its commercial debt recovery practice.
Over the nine years, bdlegal has grown to employ three full time law clerks.
While bdlegal has a national focus in its core practice area of commercial/corporate and statutory debt recovery (working for one of Melbourne’s largest municipal councils) and it operates in every mainland state in Australia, it is proud to have that work conducted out of its Warragul head office.
The resulting expertise that bdlegal has gained in managing large volume and highly complex legal work means the flow on effect for our clients in Warragul is a level of expertise that is not normally found in rural and regional Victoria.
While our core competencies remain our strength, Richard, having recently completed a Master’s Degree in private law from the University of Melbourne is now focusing on the increasing specialisation required to provide people and businesses in the shire with high level Estate planning where complex tax and superannuation issues are often intertwined and require careful analysis of trust deeds with an assessment of tax implications before the will drafting process (or business planning) can commence.
Bdlegal will celebrate 10 years legal practice in January 2016 and is aiming to grow with the Baw Baw Shire and provide commercial and legal solutions to the region in the years to come.
