Bridal couple of September

The Gazette’s September bridal couple of the month was Cassie Brooks and Luke Woodhouse.

Cassie and Luke’s wedding report and photograph appeared in the Gazette on September 1.

A screening of a home movie chroniclin­g their lives commenced the ceremony held at Aston Theatre in St Kilda.

Following the 15-minute home movie on the cinema screen, the groom and groomsmen ran down the aisle high-fiving guests.

The bride, accompanie­d by her parents, walked down the aisle to Joey Ramone’s ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.

The wedding cake was vegan cupcakes with South Park characters as bride and groom.

Speeches included video messages from film and television stars Lloyd Kaufman, John Dugan and Ashur Shimon.

The event concluded with a screening of horror film ‘Troll Two’, which is considered one of the worst movies of all time.

Cassie and Luke honeymoone­d in Queenstown, New Zealand and have made their home in Warragul.

As bridal couple of the month, Cassie and Luke have won a dinner for two at Wild Dog Restaurant valued at $100.

They will also in the competitio­n for the bridal couple of the year award to be judged from September 2015 to August 2016.
