New-look Off the Leash
Tracey Rabl has taken on the reins as president of Off the Leash Theatre.
The annual general meeting of the Drouinbased group saw cofounder Jeannie Haughton step down as president along with long-serving secretary Sally Alsop.
Ms Haughton thanked all in attendance after deciding not to stand on the 2015/16 committee. Assuring she would still be around, the change will allow her to devote more time to writing.
Off the Leash thanked Ms Haughton and Ms Alsop for their hard work over the past five years and stated they would be sorely missed.
The new committee are president Tracey Rabl, vice president Amy Moss, artistic director Julia Lambert, secretary Leane Gooding, treasurer Cameron Gray and general committee members Andrew Davies, Kyle Wright, Todd Miller, Joanne Watt, Sharryn Marshall and Jessica McKellar.
Off the Leash Theatre is looking forward with auditions for its next show “Next to Normal” being held on Sunday. This rock musical addresses issues such as grieving a loss, suicide, drugs and the underbelly of suburban life.
It will appear at the West Gippsland Arts Centre in Warragul in early April with performances also in Traralgon, Bayswater and Wonthaggi.
The production team includes director Nicholas Kong, musical director Sally McKenzie, production manager Leane Gooding, design Tad Hendry and stage manager/promotion Cameron Gray.
