Voyage Fitness supports elite sports students in Gippsland
Local business, Voyage Fitness, are proudly sponsoring a group of Elite Sports Performer students from St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School.
Students from Years 9 to 12 in the Elite Sports Performers Program (ESP) at St Paul’s will receive a generous 12 month gym membership at Voyage which includes assistance from Voyage staff to help maintain their fitness levels safely.
Owner of Voyage, Anthony Alderuccio, said “it’s our job as a community to create the most opportunity as possible for our children’s future. We have invested a lot in our fitness centre where everyone can benefit in their chosen sports, it’s only right we give more back to our future and the community. Also the thought of playing a role in seeing one of our students being an Olympic medallist, AFL footballer or making their chosen sport a profession excites me.”
Members of the Elite Sports Performers program at St Paul’s compete at either a State, National or International level in their sport and the program aims to find the balance between their academic and sporting goals. The 50 students currently in the program have access to additional support, resources and will benefit from several guest speakers from the Victorian Institute of Sport who will run several seminars on time management, recovery, injury management and injury prevention throughout the year.
The students will also receive an ESP/Voyage training singlet as part of the sponsorship.
