Strong attendance at latest networking night

-

Warragul Business Group holds regular networking evenings with the latest being held last Wednesday night at Mercure Warragul.

Over 50 people attending on the evening heard an excellent presentation by Mercure Warragul’s assistant manager Sean Pennicard.

Sean outlined features of the recently opened Mercure Warragul. Sean explained that the hotel has 48 rooms including three disabled friendly rooms.

The venue also has conference facilities on level one to cater for 25 people in a u-shape style, 25 people in classroom style or 40 in a theatre style. The boardroom on the ground level is also available and seats 12.

The hotel has a charge back facility to rooms allowing guests to enjoy the restaurant on-site and have the bill transferred to their room. Room service will also soon be available.

Sean explained that during the construction and fit-out of the new premises local subcontractors and suppliers were almost always used where possible.

Many locals have also been employed in the new business and Sean explained that more opportunities now exist for other businesses in town due to the increased level of accommodation available.

The next Warragul Business Group networking evening will be held at The Courthouse Bar, corner Smith & Barkly Streets, Warragul on Wednesday, December 9 from 6pm. Keep your eye on the Gazette and Trader classifieds for further details.
