Drouin takes honours with three wins
Mixed pairs a success
Wayne and Janis Parks from Inverloch won the Drouin Bowling Club’s Precision Mixed Pairs Tournament on Sunday November 8.
Second and third places went to Drouin teams Col Finger and Pauline Appleyard and Noel Rubenstein and Margaret Rhodes.
According to all accounts everyone enjoyed the day immensely.
Drouin Bowling Club had a good day with three out of their four teams winning on Saturday.
Division 1: Drouin 20/107 defeated Traralgon RSL 0/78.
D. McIlfatrick, Colin Finger, Dale Hedrick, and Ian Smethurst (skip) defeated M. Gardiner’s team 28/20.
Ian Snell Maureen Leighton Steve Barr and John Leighton (skip) defeated D. Hodson’s team 28/18.
Sheryl Atkinson, Noel Rubenstein, Mick Fleming and Mark Atkinson (skip) defeated D. Morley’s team 27/17.
John Bulmer, Colin Stubbings, Dennis Throup and Dave Ashby (skip) defeated R. Lukey’s team 24/23.
Division 3: Drouin 18/103 defeated Traralgon RSL 2/76.
Russell Dawson, Pauline Appleyard, Phil Jarred and Margaret Rhodes (skip) defeated J. Farquhar’s team 25/14.
Terry McFadzean, Barrie Price, Graeme Cocks and Peter Wood (skip) lost to M. Gibbins team 21/22.
Gary Watts, Ron Collins, Tim Anderson and Ian McCartney (skip) defeated R. Olsen’s team 25/22.
