Labertouche finish strong

Ellinbank and Labertouche White met in a top of the table clash in C grade for the match of the week.

An undermanned Ellinbank team won the first two doubles but Labertouche fought hard and won the last doubles and a one ace advantage. Kate from Ellinbank won her singles, winning all her games on the night, but was unable to hold back the strong finishing girls from Labertouche.

Ellinbank Green earn an honourable mention in D grade. They have struggled all year but have been gradually gaining confidence as well as aces, winning their first game this week.

The Association has appreciated clubs submitting their score sheets, but reminds team managers to underline their team name to ensure they do not lose points.

The Gippsland closed individual tournament will be played in Morwell on Monday and players are encouraged to enter as it is open to Gippsland players only.
