Con achieves golfers dream
Con Norris achieved every golfer’s dream on Wednesday when he aced the 10th hole.
It wasn’t enough to win C grade though. That honour went to Alan Fairlie whose 41 was the best score of the day.
Eric Robbins has been honing his golf scores in Mildura lately. The extra play obviously helped because he won B grade with 39 and then on Saturday nearly won the 4BBB. In A grade Paul Davie won with 40. DTL: Wayne Thomas 39, Jex Mitchard 39, Con Norris 38, Ray Haley 37, Peter Cannon 37, John Gidley 37 and on countback with 36 (and the snake), Rod Gardner.
NTP: 5th Peter Lazarus, 8th Michael Nowotny, 10th Con Norris (naturally), 14th and pro pin Paul Davie.
Very good players sometimes find high scoring in 4BBB difficult.
There were no such problems for near scratch golfers, Ryan Radford and Matt Long. Their 44 was enough to win on countback.
Runners up were Eric Robbins and Phil Dignan.
DTL: Jack Henning/ Jack Jarred 42, Gary Graves/Fred Gajdobranski 41, Ugo Tettamanti/Phil Thomson 41.
This Saturday is the monthly medal.
