Wind in the Willows provides holiday fun

-

Warragul Youth Theatre will provide plenty of school holiday fun when it presents “Wind in the Willows” at the Warragul Exhibition Hall next week.

The popular youth company regularly attracts sell-out crowds to its interactive and fun musical productions.

This version of the Toad of Toad Hall story by Peter and Donna Dowler features all the wellknown and much-loved characters from the original book.

The lead is the famous Toad, who is very selfindulgent and keeps jumping from one hobby to the next. He frustrates all his creature friends by trying to get them involved in whatever his latest fad is, and generally causes mayhem all around.

There is also the loyal Ratty, who tries very hard to keep Mr Toad from getting into trouble.

When Moley loses his home after a cave-in caused by the Weasel gang driving a motorcar around the land, Ratty introduces Moley to the famous Mr Toad.

Mr Badger is called in to try and make Mr Toad behave, but he cannot be trusted to be good. The police get involved when Toad steals a car.

Can Badger, Ratty and Moley save him from himself? Will Mr Toad be sent to jail? Will the Weasels win the day? What will happen to the housekeeper and the rest of his trusted servants? Will Moley get his house back?

The answer to these and many other questions will be revealed in Warragul Youth Theatre’s production.

Tickets are just $10 per person with eight shows to choose from.

Shows will be held on Monday, April 10 at 11am and 2pm; Tuesday, April 11 at 11am and 2pm; Wednesday, April 12 at 2pm and 7pm; and Thursday, April 13 at 11am and 2pm.
