Dusties Reserves in control

Warragul Industrial­s were big winners in the Reserves, 16-20 (116) to 2-1 (13).

The Industrial­s were always in control despite an early goal to Longwarry’s Daniel Farley. Six goals in the final term saw the final margin blow out.

Zac O’Hara kicked four goals for the Industrial­s, while Adam Bainbridge chipped in with three majors. Other prominent players were Sam Davies, Luke O’Brien, Lee Jefferies and Jai Jose.

Longwarry were best served by Brendon Parnaby, Ben McKenna, Jeremy Hill, Shaun Eckhardt and Braydon Monroe.

Dusties too strong

Warragul Industrial­s proved too strong for Buln Buln in the make up under 18s game, winning 10-4 (64) to 38 (26).

The Industrial­s kicked out to a fourgoal lead at quarter time and were helped by a wasteful Buln Buln, who had registered seven behinds to half time.

The Lyrebirds matched it with Dusties in the second half, but the early damage had been done.

Darcy Norton kicked five goals for the Industrial­s, while Keegan Tullett chipped in with three majors. Matthew Burdett, Rory Crook, Isaac Lalor and Nicholas Hugget also helped set up the win.

Brandon Allan, Reece Campbell, Marko Kulas, Chad Hall, Angus Emery and Ryan Wellings ensured the Lyrebirds were competitiv­e in the second half.

Dusties defend

A strong defensive effort saw Warragul Industrial­s comfortabl­y account for Longwarry, 5-13 (43) to 2-2 (14).

Luke Kinder kicked four goals in a best afield effort, with Lachlan Crook, Tyler Irving, Tyler Murray, Liam Harman-Dorney and Hunter Dowel also prominent.

Longwarry were best served by Matt Hurst, Jonah Serong, Bailey Stephens, Harrison Stephens, Aidan Fox and David Ahrens.
