Yarragon Primary School and Early Learning Centre
Since the amalgamation of Yarragon Early Learning Centre and Yarragon Primary School, the opportunity to provide students with quality educational programs and a smooth, safe and engaging transition to school has blossomed.
Foundation students entering school are settled, familiar with teachers, learning spaces and have caring relationships with other students and an older ‘buddy’. In 2017 a “Ready, Set, Go” transition program from second semester will strengthen the connection between early learning and school even more.
From 3 years of age to when students transition from Grade 6 to secondary schooling, we ensure every child’s social, personal, emotional and academic development is a priority. Caring teaching and education support staff ensure a developmental, dynamic and engaging curriculum, strongly grounded in “Essential Learnings” important to our community.
A strong focus on healthy, active, curious minds and bodies is developed through specialist Health & Physical Education, Information & Communication Technologies and Indonesian classes. Student leadership growth enables students to believe they make a difference to themselves, others and the world.
