Gleeson wins Captain’s trophy

Wednesday saw 63 women play in the second round of the Captain’s Trophy.

The winner was Margaret Gleeson with 43 and 38 points, for a total of 81 points. Friday saw the Logan trophy play off, with Wendy Wilcox and Dawn Campbell defeating Heather Reeves and Maureen Kittelty three up with two to go.

Tomorrow’s round is the captain’s and president’s mystery draw over a multi tee start, assemble at 9am for a 9.30am start.

Over 55 social group

The club had 32 starters for the over 55’s competitio­n in ideal conditions for golf.

The women’s winner was Marie Veitch with 20 points.

The men’s winner was Chris Brown with 20 points.
