Chilly start - true dedication
Junior sport players and followers have been forced to embrace winter with some very chilly starts to the day over the last two weekends. While spectators line grounds, field and courts rugged up in extra layers of clothing, junior players shivered through their chosen sports.
Saturday morning was the coldest start at minus 0.9 degrees Celcius while Sunday morning climbed only marginally to a one degree start. But the players should have been a little prepared because it was the second weekend running of freezing temperatures, with last Saturday and Sunday being minus 0.3 and 0.1 degrees respectively. Braving the cold start on Sunday are Ellinbank under 10s players (from left) Bill De Araugo, Bailey Helps, Nate Murphy, Harrison Dodd and Hugh McKinley.
