Warragul & Drouin Gazette

DINE-OUT

-

The Courthouse Warragul has been going from strength to strength since the Big Spoon Group took ownership and renovated the building back to its former glory.

We caught up with Leigh Marino, owner and head chef to find out the latest updates and events that are being marketed for the coming months:

“The first initiative I want to tell you about is our Family Happy Hour – 4 to 5pm, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This is an initiative I have put in since becoming a dad and realising how important it is to spend quality time with the little ones. It's also a nice feeling knowing I can take my daughter, Poppy-Lee, somewhere and feel welcome by offering this awesome (potentially hectic) happy hour”.

Leigh discussed how privileged he felt to be located in the heart of Warragul CBD, and although there is a lot of focus on attracting shoppers in the town to dine at the Courthouse, he always reminds his team to focus on the other local businesses and workers within the town. With that in mind he has developed a couple of new initiatives targeted to this audience:

EOFY Dinners – available through June.

The Courthouse invites you to enjoy your end of financial year celebrations locally with a special offer for you and your colleagues. Three course dinner with drink on arrival for $59pp with live entertainment available upon request.

Express Lunches. This is the new 15/15/15 campaign which you will likely see all over Facebook and on the fencing banners this week. They have developed a 15 item menu which is guaranteed to be served within 15 minutes, all priced at $15!

“We have noticed since opening the Courthouse we get a lot of people looking for a lunch break ‘escape’ but are on the clock.

“Our 15/15/15 menu has a mix of light salads and hearty dishes to leave you feeling satisfied and refreshed ready for your afternoon at work.’

“We have some exciting one-off dinners coming up too. With National Chocolate Day on Friday 7th July, we will be offering a three-course meal made solely from CHOCOLATE – yes 3 courses of chocolate!”

To keep up to date with the Courthouse events, they recommend you join the mailing list by emailing your details to: marketing@ thebigspoongroup.com.au or drop by and leave your details in the jar.
