Morning tea raises funds for oncology

-

The Hallora Hall Committee has once again held a successful annual fundraising morning tea.

All proceeds raised from the morning tea will be presented to the West Gippsland Hospital’s oncology ward.

Despite it being a very cold, wet wintry day, it was well supported by the community.

Guests were treated to a beautiful array of freshly baked scones and homemade jams, music by Taken Time and an informative talk by director of nursing Kathy Kinrade.

About $1000 of the total money raised was from proceeds of jams and preservatives made by Dorothy Heywood.

A cheque for close to $3000 will be presented to the hospital.
