A staff photograph outside Burton’s Store in Victoria St, Warragul in the late 1940s.

This photograph was taken in front of where KFC stands today. The department store took in what is now Aussie Disposals through to Warragul Hot Bake.

Amongst the people in the photograph are Ken Burton (back, left), Ernie Burton, (back, fourth from left), Percy Burton (back, sixth from left), Mac Young, (front, third from left) and Joyce Young (front, second from right).

Alex Burton set up a shop in Drouin before establishing Burton’s Store in Warragul. The Warragul department store was a branch of the Euroa-based Burton’s Store.
