Rock musical with heart to tick, tick...BOOM!

-

A rock-pop musical with heart from the dynamic Off the Leash Theatre Company will explode onto local stages next month.

Featuring three tremendous local performers, 14 fabulous songs and a brilliant local band, “tick, tick…BOOM!” will be performed at Wesley of Warragul, Drouin Anglican Church Hall and in Emerald.

Before “Rent”, this exciting and inspiring rock opera diary of the late great musical genius Jonathan Larson was the soundtrack of his life. Despairing and desperate on the eve of his 30th beautiful, the talented composer questioned life and his choices, indulging in a midlife crisis.

The vital pulse of this fabulous show cannot be denied, coming just before Larson launched Rent and changed the face of musical theatre forever.

Experience the tick, tick…Boom of a super talented cast of three locals – Bayne Bradshaw as Jon, Michaela Philip as Susan and Liam Charleston as Michael.

They are directed by professionally acclaimed Michelle Theunissen-Scott with young up and coming conductor William Yates as musical director.

Off the Leash Theatre will present “tick, tick…BOOM!” – the party of the year - at Wesley of Warragul on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 and Drouin Anglican Church Hall on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29.

They will also tour to Gemco Community Centre in Emerald on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15. All shows will be performed at 8pm. Tickets are $36 for adults and $31 for concession/students.

In another first, the company will donate $1 from each ticket sold to BeyondBlue.

Bookings are essential via offtheleashtheatre.com.au, with limited seats for this exclusive season.
