Shawn Coombs and Jye Kruyer are the 2017 Stroud Trophy champions after winning a nail biting final on the 19th hole over Glenn Vandeligt and Shane Davidson.

Neither pair were able to take full control of the contest throughout the day, with many holes being halved with three points due to the fine golf that was being played.

Eventually it was Coombs, who made a fantastic birdie on the first extra hole that sealed the win for his team. Well done to all four boys on such a great performance.

The rest of the 86 golfers were playing Par. With the course holding up beautifully after overnight rain, the scores continue to be very good considering the time of year that we are in.

Colin Zeeno maintained his nice run of current form by winning A grade with a score of +2.

Bob Batten returned the best score of the day with an excellent +4 to win B grade, while John Gardiner managed -1 which was good enough to take out C grade.

In other good news, Greg Street managed to score a hole in one on the 14th hole. With this being the pro pin hole, he picked up some nice extra cash to celebrate the shot with.
