Strong junior squads at Sale

The Warragul and District Junior Football League will again be competing in the Gippsland Junior Football Interleagu­e Carnival to be held in Sale this week.

Round robin matches will be played today and tomorrow, with grand finals to be played on Sunday.

Games will be played against junior leagues from Traralgon, Central Gippsland, Sale, Bairnsdale and South Gippsland.

The League again looks to travel to Sale with well-selected, coached, supported and discipline­d squads in both the under 12 and under 14 age divisions after competing strongly over a number of years at this carnival.

The under 14 team won the championsh­ip last year, while the under 12s were runners up.

Rob Reid will return as under 14 coach, while David Carpenter will again take charge of the under 12 team.
