Church finds new home
Warragul Presbyterian Church will meet for the first time in its new home at Ellinbank at St Luke’s church building on the Warragul-Korumburra Road on Sunday.
Warragul Presbyterian Church was established almost four years ago as an initiative of Drouin Presbyterian Church, and held it’s first service on Sunday February 9, 2014.
The Warragul Regional College Flexible Learning Centre has been its Sunday meeting place since that time.
“With the imminent demolition of the Flexible Learning Centre, the church was challenged to find a new location, and we were delighted to enter into an arrangement, with the Anglican Diocese of Gippsland, which allows us to meet at St Luke’s,” Minister Reverend Christopher Dean said.
“We are also very thankful to have had the use the Flexible Learning Centre at Warragul Regional up until now.”
The church caters for all age groups, with activities during the week as well as each Sunday.
“Moving into a building which we can use on other days of the week will increase the scope of programs we can provide,” Chris said.
“So church members are excited about the move and the possibilities it will bring.
“We are looking forward to connecting with the local Ellinbank community, as well as continuing our relationship with those from Warragul and surrounding areas.
“We welcome and invite all members of the community to attend the inaugural service for the church at St Luke’s building on Sunday.” Services are held at 9.30am every Sunday. For enquires phone Rev Chris Dean on 0438 221 433.
