A new yoga studio will be opening in the Warragul town centre on January 1st, 2018.

‘Yoga Life' will run yoga and meditation classes 6 days a week at Level 1, 5/9 Victoria St (above Subway in the former Dragon's Ink building).

The studio will offer beginners yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, meditation and kids yoga. The classes will explore ancient yogic philosophy and practices, grounded in modern neuroscien­ce and physiology.

Yoga Life will be run by Ama Aghora and Caitlin McGuinness-Harvey. Ama comes from Sri Lanka, with a PhD in Alternativ­e Medicine and a Bachelor Degree in Naturopath­y and Yogic Science. Caitlin holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Masters of Business, 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, 50 Hour Yin Yoga teacher training and Certificat­e IV in Massage.

Yoga is derived from an ancient practice from the Vedic tradition of India and the Himalayas. It cultivates physical and mental health and well-being through a range of breathing techniques, postures and meditation.

Yoga is designed to cultivate health and happiness, and a greater sense of selfawaren­ess and clarity of mind. Health benefits include: stress management, improved concentrat­ion, cardiovasc­ular health, weightloss and muscle strength. A common yoga class typically includes:
