Neerim District Bowling Club’s division two team had a 77/99 loss against Moe in the semi-final on Saturday.

They will have a second chance to make the grand final when they play Traralgon (2) in Saturday’s preliminar­y final.

Division two: Neerim District lost to Moe 77/99.

Peter Brooks (skip), Jim Fallon, Trevor Kuhnell and Chris Hogan lost 19/27 against T. Kuklinsky’s team.

Peter Throup (skip), Karren Sheers, Russell Meehan and Wes Ellis, playing against C. Thornton’s team, lost 14/28.

Shane Hogan (skip), Ray Watts, Gerry Engelstad and Ross Pollard won 28/23 against A. Caines’ team.

Angus McGillivra­y (skip), Pat Fraser-Aurisch, Tony Thornton and Colin McKay, playing against A. Muirhead’s team, lost 16/21.

Tuesday

Neerim District had a two-shot loss to finals contender Trafalgar in its final game of the season.

Division one: Neerim District lost to Trafalgar 59/61.

Pat Fraser-Aurisch (skip), Dianne Tame, Gerald Winter and Kevin Aurisch, playing against M. Holdworthy’s team, won a closely fought game 21/14.

Elizabeth Hodge (skip), Thelma Schroeder, Jim Schroeder and Colin McKay, playing against H. Taylor’s team, were behind all game before losing 30/18.

Karren Sheers (skip), Maureen Halligan, Marion Willis and Gerry Engelstad, played against S. Robinson’s team, had a close game and held on to win 20/17.
