Pirates to converge on Neerim Junction

-

A unique Australian version of “The Pirates of Penzance” will be performed at the Neerim Junction Hall on Friday, March 2 at 6pm.

Limited tickets remain for this dinner and show offering by Promac Productions.

A true family musical comedy is what lies ahead with the pirates clashing swords and trading barbs.

Regulars in West Gippsland, Promac Productions has toured Australia with unique versions of classic Gilbert and Sullivan musicals over many years.

Undoubtedly the most critically acclaimed and most popular is “The Pirates of Penzance” featuring a cast of just six.

The pirates will hit the road again in 2018 for their 21st anniversary (and final) tour, taking in five states with a stopover at Neerim Junction Hall.

This fast-paced and beautifully sung complete production has a full set and costumes. Beware of hilarious nuts and Donald Trump additives in 2018!

The stellar cast is led by musical theatre star Philip Gould as the swashbuckling “Pirate King”, veteran comic baritone Brian Hannan as “The Major General” and “The Police Sergeant”, international soprano Alison Jones as “Mabel”, Opera Australia mezzo soprano Caroline Vercoe as “Ruth”, Chris McKenna as “Frederic” and Dominic Woodhead as the musical director on piano.

“I am a Pirate King”, “A Policeman’s Lot is Not a Happy One”, “With Cat-like Tread” and “Poor Wandering One”, are just a few of the hit songs performed in this production.

So say farewell to the pirates as they sail off into the sunset, but not before providing the whole family with a great theatre experience.

Tickets for the dinner and show are $57 for adults, $54 for concession, $50 for members and groups and $42 for youth.

A bus service is available with bookings essential.
