42no 39no 38no 38no 35no 35no Buln Buln (6-236) def. Yarragon (235): A stunning knock of 96 to James Davidson has seen Buln Buln romp to victory over Yarragon, with the Lyrebirds requiring just 38.3 overs to chase down their target of 235.

After resuming at 5-101, the Panthers enjoyed some success in the middle, and despite a five-wicket haul of Jarryd Kilday (who finished with 5-76 from his 16 overs) made their way to 235 before being dismissed.

Facing a potentially tricky run-chase, and requiring victory to sneak into the top four, the Lyrebirds then blasted their way into the semi-finals on the back of some breathtaking hitting from James Davidson.

Max Kelly chimed in with 49 and Dean Hendrikse made 27 opening up as the Yarragon bowlers struggled to contain the scoring.

Titans grind for draw

Jindivick (2-100) drew Garfield-Tynong (7-146): A gritty batting effort from Garfield-Tynong has allowed them to claim a draw with Jindivick, with the Titans occupying the crease to great effect – much to the frustration of the Jumping Jacks bowlers.

Joshua Horsburgh was the pick of the batsmen for Garfield-Tynong, making 41* and his patient knock helped the Titans to post 7-146 from their 70 overs.

Left with just 26 overs to attempt to win, Jindivick could only make their way to 2-100 – with Sean Viotto (39) and Luke Hume (22*) enjoying some valuable time in the middle in the lead-up to semi-final action for the Jumping Jacks.

Ferguson takes five

Iona (160) def. Longwarry (70): A five-wicket haul to Luke Ferguson has seen Iona overcome a middling total with the bat, as the Swamp Tigers took home a 90-run win over Longwarry.

Facing an opposition line-up with just nine batsmen, Iona made early inroads and took just 20.5 overs to claim the necessary wickets, ensuring an early end to the afternoon.

The Longwarry line-up has struggled at time
