Western Park 8/389 def Warragul 10/334 A maiden century to Warragul’s Tim Norton has propelled the Gulls to a big total in a high scoring affair against Western Park.

After a positive start from Amandeep Singh (65) and John Mulqueen (20), Norton dominated the scoring throughout a succession of small partnershi­ps before bringing up the milestone. He was eventually dismissed for 102 with the home side still 100 runs in arrears at 6/279.

Boedon Fries (38), Warren Miller (25), and Lachlan Shelton (28*) provided valuable runs but it was not enough to get their side across the line with the Warriors wrapping things up in the 56th over.

Kenny Lindsey was the pick of the bowlers with 3/82. Jacob Konstanty (2/69) and Michael Rabl (2/51) chimed in with a couple of wickets each.

Western Park will clash with Drouin this weekend in semi-final action after finishing on top of the ladder.

Humphrey snares five

Hallora 10/156 def Bunyip 10/122 Hallora’s Darren Humphrey has finished the season on a high with a five-wicket haul.

The Kangas held the advantage going in to day two with Bunyip resuming on 4/38.

Humphrey was in the action early grabbing the first two wickets of the day adding to his three from day one to finish with 5/40 off 12 overs.
