Vin Rowe Farm Ma­chin­ery in War­ragul re­cently wel­comed rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Ital­ian farm ma­chin­ery man­u­fac­turer Valen­tini Group.

Vin Rowe is the Aus­tralian im­porter for the com­pany which man­u­fac­tures a wide range of Ro­tary Hoes and Power Har­rows for agri­cul­tural use as well as a range of stone crush­ers, trenchers and mulchers for the civil, con­struc­tion and forestry in­dus­tries. Valen­tini Group is sit­u­ated in Cam­posampiero which is just 50 kilo­me­tres from Venice in north­ern Italy.

Dur­ing the 2-week trip, Vin Rowe and Valen­tini vis­ited farm­ers in Queens­land – specif­i­cally the Townsville and Bur­dekin River dis­tricts - as well as vis­it­ing farms in Bac­chus Marsh, Wer­ribee South, Koo Wee Rup and Bairns­dale and sur­round­ing ar­eas.

A high­light of the trip was the demon­stra­tion of Valen­tini’s rock crush­ing ma­chines, which, apart from their civil and con­struc­tion ap­pli­ca­tions, have been suc­cess­ful in turn­ing rocky and in­fer­tile land into pro­duc­tive farm­ing plots.

To help with lan­guage bar­ri­ers, Vin Rowe en­listed the help of lo­cal res­i­dent Joe De Fazio whose trans­la­tion abil­i­ties proved in­valu­able.
