Warragul & Drouin Gazette - - LOCAL LIVING -

A horse drawn vehicle with six firemen in fancy dress posed outside the Warragul Fire Station in Smith Street c.1908.

This was an entry in the Carnival Day Procession. The firemen won second prize.

The Warragul Fire Station stood where Intersport Nichos is located today.

The State Savings Bank, today the site of Advantage Pharmacy, can be seen at the rear in Victoria Street. To the left of the station is Ashcroft’s Hay and Corn Merchants.
