Clear­ing sale to ben­e­fit the CFA

The an­nual Dar­num Ellinbank Fire Brigade Clear­ing Sale will re­turn on Sun­day April 28 and of­fers a great op­por­tu­nity to clear the shed, yard or cup­board of the items that you no longer need.

And at the same time it will help sup­port com­mu­nity safety.

The clear­ing sale is part of the brigade’s fundrais­ing pro­gram to main­tain their re­cently pur­chased ul­tra-light tanker, which has al­ready en­hanced their abil­ity to as­sist the com­mu­nity and did ster­ling ser­vice in the re­cent Seav­iew fire.

“Many peo­ple will have been sav­ing goods from last year and we al­ready have some great items, but many more are needed,” Cap­tain John Camm said.

“We urge peo­ple to take this op­por­tu­nity to keep their prop­er­ties clear and pro­vide a pleas­ant day for all by of­fer­ing good qual­ity items for farm, gar­den and house for do­na­tion or sale on com­mis­sion.

“The show of the auc­tion, the fun of get­ting a bar­gain, the plea­sure of catch­ing up with friends and neigh­bours, and the en­joy­ment of just see­ing your com­mu­nity get­ting to­gether all make the event one not to be missed.”

The clear­ing sale will be held at the Ellinbank Foot­ball Ground on War­ragul/Ko­rum­burra Road from 10 am on Sun­day April 29 and items for sale can be picked up from now.
