Freeway car fire investigated

A car left on the side of the Princes Fwy after it broke down was set on fire during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police said the driver left the 2006 Volkswagon sedan on the side of the Princes Fwy, Warragul near the King St overpass.

Police were called to the scene at 2.45am when a passer-by alerted them to a car engulfed in flames. The car was destroyed. Baw Baw CIU detectives are investigating the fire. Anyone with information that may assist investigations should contact Baw Baw CIU detectives or Crimestoppers 1800 333000.
