BAD DOSE OF WEATHER FOR RESERVES

-

Drouin reserves floundered in Saturday’s wet and windy conditions.

It rained for most of the game against Maffra and a heavy downpour that lasted about 10 minutes from the start of the third quarter put paid to any thoughts of slick football.

Maffra handled the going better to prevail 6-9 to 1-7, Jayden Fairlie snaring Drouin’s goal with a snapshot nine minutes into the final term.

Best for the Hawks on the day were Matt Ridley, Jye Mitchell, Sam Rippon, Kurtis Harper, Joe Collins and Fairlie.

Drouin reserves don’t have a game next week at Bairnsdale and will have a bit of extra time to reorganise for the clash with Warragul on Sunday, April 29, at Drouin.
