Warragul win back shield

Warragul Croquet Club took on neighbour Drouin in the annual Twin Towns Challenge recently.

Teams consist of four pairs, each who play a round robin of 16 games.

Contesting the third year of Twin Towns Challenge competition, Warragul won back the shield that they lost to Drouin last year.

The final score ended up Warragul 12 games to four, 97 hoops to 84 hoops.

Joan Lang, Bev Darby, Tony Preece, Colin Walker, Barry Lang, Peter Eyre, Tony Butterworth and Peter Russell represented Warragul.

Playing for Drouin were Jenny Leesing, Vicky Rogers, Michael Fry, Ed Chatwin, Hamish Menzies, Alan Leesing, Nanette Fry and Edna Menzies.
