Crows into second

The Crows have moved to second on the Baw Baw Squash ladder following their 2/7/71 win over bottom side Swans 1/3/52.

The Eagles slipped down to fourth following their loss to fourth-placed Vultures 1/3/62 to 2/7/72.

Top team Hawks maintain their position following their bye.

Players to enjoy wins in three straight games included Jim Wilkinson and Steve Andrews.

Fronting up for a second game, Wilkinson enjoyed another three-game victory, but only after being pushed all the way by a determined Steve Mooney. The scores were 9/6, 9/5, 10/9.

Charlie Hamilton won the best player of the round award with his four-game victory.

Ladder: Hawks 27, Crows 22, Vultures 21, Eagles 21, Swans 11.

Round 9 draw: Vultures v Hawks, Eagles v Crows, Swans bye.

Order of play is 1, 3, 2 for a 7.30pm start.
