Puzzled reader
For the past three weeks I have been following, with great interest, your feature articles on “Alto Motors – celebrating 50 years” that were published in the Gazette (June 12, 19 and 26). It is indeed both newsworthy and appropriate to highlight the ongoing success of a local business that has an almost peerless reputation.
It was wonderful to be reminded of the early days of this business venture when Flavio Bagnara and Elio Moscato, along with their respective wives Angiolina and Yvonne, struggled and persevered through the ups and downs of establishment, growth, and getting the business firmly rooted in Trafalgar.
Your feature articles are a welcome contribution to the story of Alto Motors, and in appreciable detail too, as you have apportioned some five pages that include a mix of photos, text and advertisements.
However, I am puzzled by the fact that you have not included at least some mention of the important roles played by Loretta and Michael Molino (Flavio and Angiolina’s daughter and son-in-law) in the ongoing success of Alto Motors.
Both were long-term employees and eventually bought half of the business when Flavio and

I had actually suffered a stroke. My heartfelt thanks to you both.
