Rock these school holidays

-

Catchy songs, manic comedy kits and lots of fun aimed at primary school aged children will be on show when “Aussie Kids Rock” return to the VRI Hall in Warragul on Friday.

Warragul resident Dominic Finley, who has played the part of CJ in the comedy rock duo since 2010, and said the concert followed a successful performance attracting 100 people in the April school holidays.

Dominic and Pete Ryan, both international musicians, fused their experiences from the rock world to become “Aussie Kids Rock”. Their shows aim to inspire kid’s love of music whilst entertaining the whole family.

“We feel that there’s a lot of artists on the market for kids in terms of pre-school age,” said Dominic. “But we feel there’s not much for the older kids.”

As a result, the duo targets the six to 12-year-old demographic with their original show filled with wacky characters, various music styles, costumes and audience participation.

“After driving across the Nullarbor and sailing to Tassie with ‘Aussie Kids Rock’, it’s great to be playing on my own doorstep for a change and the kids love it,” said Dominic who was also a former member of the 1980s multi-million sellers “Cutting Crew”, known for their number one hit “I Just Died in Your Arms”.

“Aussie Kids Rock” will perform at the VRI Hall in Warragul at 11am on Friday.

Tickets are $12 per person and can booked at trybooking.com/VPKA. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.
