Driver receives penalty
A Pakenham man will be fined for failing to give way, resulting in a collision at Drouin West last week.
Police reported the 35-year-old man was travelling south on Old Sale Rd and failed to give way at the old Princes Hwy intersection, colliding with a vehicle travelling east.
The collision occurred at 6.28pm Monday.
Police said the man’s vehicle collided with the second vehicle, driven by a 25-year-old Longwarry woman. last
The collision caused the woman to travel onto the wrong side of the road and up in an embankment.
The man was taken by road ambulance to The Alfred Hospital with serious arm and facial injuries. Two passengers in his vehicle were taken to West Gippsland Hospital.
The female driver was taken to West Gippsland Hospital.
Police said the man would be issued with a penalty notice for failing to give way at an intersection.
