Wallaby tastes urban lifestyle

As residential developments extend the boundaries of towns around West Gippsland, there is still a strong presence of wildlife in our rural towns.

A Gazette reader was travelling along Waterloo Rd in Trafalgar last week when this wallaby was spotted in the railway reserve.

Terrence Porter of Yarragon took a photograph of the wallaby opposite the Trafalgar soccer ground.

He said it was a reminder that we still have wildlife around town areas and motorists need to keep an eye out for wildlife.
