Five for McCallum

-

Bob McCallum has become the first player to win Drouin’s best and fairest five times.

The ruckman won a thrilling vote count conducted yesterday polling 78 votes, just one more than assistant coach Eddie Morris.

Jeb McLeod, who joined the Hawks this year from Bunyip, was placed third and Tom Barr fourth.

McCallum had previously shared the club record of four best and fairest wins with Robert Ferguson, this year one of the line coaches with the senior team.

The best and fairest in the reserves was Jayden Fairlie with Shaun Straka runner-up.
