Li­cence sus­pended with 0.184 read­ing

A Drouin woman lost her li­cence and had her ve­hi­cle im­pounded af­ter al­legedly driv­ing along the wrong side of the road and over 0.05 last week.

Po­lice in­ter­cepted the ve­hi­cle in Jamieson St at about 4.45pm on Wed­nes­day af­ter it was seen trav­el­ling on the wrong side of the road. A one-year-old boy was in the back seat of the ve­hi­cle.

The 28-year-old woman un­der­went a pre­lim­i­nary breath test be­fore be­ing taken back to the po­lice sta­tion, where she recorded an al­leged read­ing of 0.184.

The woman’s li­cence was im­me­di­ately sus­pended and her car im­pounded at a cost of $1291.

The woman will be charged on sum­mons with drink driv­ing.
