Safe plate hit by bad weather

Hor­rid weather re­sulted in a quiet morn­ing for Op­er­a­tion Safe Plate in War­ragul re­cently.

Run by Drouin and War­ragul Neigh­bour­hood Watch, spe­cial one-way screws are in­stalled on ve­hi­cles to re­duce the risk of num­ber plate theft.

Spokesper­son Steve Pas­coe said 30 ve­hi­cles at­tended which was lower than nor­mal. He added that vol­un­teers de­cided to close an hour ear­lier than nor­mal due to the hor­rid weather.

How­ever, do­na­tions from the day will re­sult in $250 be­ing do­nated to the War­ragul SES.
