Sim­ple chair to cheer stu­dents

Stu­dents at St Joseph;’s Pri­mary school, Trafal­gar have a spe­cial cheer up chair thanks to sup­port from Trafal­gar Men’s Shed.

St Joseph’s Mini Vin­nie’s group was grate­ful to re­ceive the new ‘Cheer me Up Chair’. crafted by mem­bers of the Men’s Shed.

The chair will help stu­dents who feel lonely or in need of com­fort within the school grounds.

Mem­bers of Mini Vin­nie’s will paint and in­stall the chair as part of their com­mu­nity ser­vice work.

When a stu­dent sits on this chair, oth­ers can iden­tify a feel­ing of lone­li­ness and as­sist, in­clud­ing wel­com­ing them into their playground ac­tiv­i­ties.

The stu­dents are look­ing for­ward to it sit­ting brightly in the school yard.

At the pre­sen­ta­tion the stu­dents thanked the lo­cal Men’s Shed of Trafal­gar for its gen­er­ous do­na­tion.
